This series was inspired by my very own great Aunt, Sherry Picken. When flipping through old family photo albums I found a photo of her in her twenties and it inspired me. She looked so effortlessly cool and the photo reminded me of the feeling of carefree fun that you have with your girlfriends.
The laughter, the chaos, the fun drinks; The exciting and intoxicating feeling of being out on the town for a Girls Night Out.

I created this series to capture the nostalgic, homey feeling of growing up on the lake. Inspired by old photographs, familiar places, and cherished memories, these prints and original oil paintings celebrate the simple moments that make lakeside life so special. From the sound of loons calling in the morning, to fishing with your grandpa, to afternoons spent at the old jumping rock, each piece reflects the classic experiences we all know, love, and will always remember fondly.
